What A Difference A Week Makes

Last week, Christopher Reeve was being held up as a driving force behind stem cell research during the presidential debate. This week, he has, sadly, passed away because of complications resulting from an infection.

Combine that news with the fact that I slept about an hour last night and the incredibly sad first day for Graydon at daycare and I pretty much feel like crying.

But I'm going to frame one of Graydon's best pics and combine it with some flowers to take over to P in her first day back at work since the baby was born.

Maybe I'll just sit in the dark and listen to Big Head Todd's "Bittersweet" all day. I didn't think I would miss my boy as much as I do already.

PS Damn, I just learned that Ken Caminiti has also died. Caminiti was a big, beefy baseball player guy who admitted he took steroids, said half the other baseball players take steroids and now he's dead at the age of 41. Let his life be a lesson. More sadness all the way around.
