The Defense Remains the Same

It continues to be business as usual for the Bush regime. The latest stupidity? Ridge Defends 3 Year Old Security Alert in which Tom Ridge, the guy who's supposed to be on top of safe guarding the homeland from the nasty jerks who want to blow us all us (yes, even the pretty ones).

Instead of just copping to the screw up and moving on, the current administration cannot and will not apologize for any errors it may intentionally or unintentionally make. That would be a sign of weakness, unlike the repeated demonstration of just how poor a job they really are doing.

A quote from the article....
"The decision to warn key U.S. financial centers they may be attacked by al Qaeda was based largely on three-year old information, Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge said on Tuesday, but he insisted the threat was still real."

Well sure its still real, we haven't killed all those nasty terrorists yet and they still want to disrupt our nation as much as they can and destroying our financial centers is a damned fine way to do that. But the fact that they still cannot admit a mistake really just bothers the hell out of me. To err is human, to completely and utterly deny ever erring is Bushesque.
