My apologies for the suspenseful (one might even venture to say, pregnant) pause in the news about the pending birth of our baby.
Well wait no more, good friends.
May I present to you, my son, Graydon Carl!

The particulars: he was born at 1:01 pm on July 3rd and weighed 8 pounds and 5.5 ounces and he measured 20 3/4 inches in length. Yes, he is a big boy!
And he's perfect, beautiful and amazing in every way. If he can't make your heart melt with just a glance then there's something wrong with you. Many more stories to follow, including how he came into the world, his first hours and his first (almost) full day.
Thanks so much to all of you for your support and excitement! The last few days have been amazing and we're only just getting started.
There will be many, many more pics, videos and stories on the way as this little wonderful bundle of joy grows with us. We'll likely be bringing him home on Tuesday or Wednesday depending on how P's recovery comes from the c-section (a story unto itself).
And on that note, I've gotta get back to the hospital to be with my wife and my perfect little son!
