...you dont have to wear a turban or speak Farsi to be an enemy of the United States. All you have to do is disagree
with the President.
with the President.
Presented solely for educational purposes, Capitol Hill Blue: Bush's Erratic Behavior Worries White House Aides. The quote on the right is taken from the story and depicts George Bush as, well, as I've been viewing him for the last several years.
The article points out how Colin Powell, a used-to-be insider, is now very much an outsider because of "his growing doubts about the administrations war against Iraq". Folks, what we're dealing with here, is an incredibly underqualified, wholly egomanical nut job who gets lost in the details and refuses to step, in fact he'll fire you for suggesting he step back, to look at the bigger picture.
His own team is scared to death of him and he leads by fear not by example. More choice excerpts:
The Attorney General is tight with the President because of religion, says one aide. They both believe any action is justifiable in the name of God.
and here's this tasty bit,
"Tenet was allowed to resign "voluntarily" and Bush informed his shocked staff of the decision Thursday morning. One aide says the President actually described the decision as "God's will."
and, last one,
Were at war, theres no doubt about it. What I dont know anymore is just who the enemy might be, says one troubled White House aide. We seem to spend more time trying to destroy John Kerry than al Qaeda and our enemies list just keeps growing and growing.
By the way, I'm still tweaking things and dropped the pic for now, the site is emminently readable now, just visually dull to look at. I shall continue the tweakage later on tonight.
Also, this just in, Total Information Awareness is Alive and Well. Which just goes to show you that dead isn't always dead in politics. What's next, Strom Thurmond's gonna rise from the grave to denounce them "Neegras!"?
Um yeah, there's a reason TIA was killed. Because its an incredibly invasive and illegal program that treats American citizens like suspected criminals. Thanks Patriot Act and thanks to Bush for misleading the entire fucking nation about what the Patriot Act is really about. Its not about protecting Us from Them, its about protecting the government from Us, We the People!
