Different Kinds of Beauty
I met someone yesterday that I've only seen from a distance before and it raised an interesting question me. Is it better to be good looking from a distance or to be better looking up close?
There are those people that have all the attributes of beauty from a distance, hair, body, attitude (meaning how they carried themselves, walked, talked, sat down, whatever) but when you get closer, you see they have crocodile skin or their eyes are too narrow or their hair takes on a different look up close. And they go from being potentially beautiful to being potentially cool. Not that its a great crime either way but it was something I was thinking about.
The other side of that is seeing someone who, from a distance, looks plain, without any fire. But up close, you can see how truly gorgeous they are. The details, the deep tan, the delicate nose framed by piercing blue eyes (or whatever color). They go from plain to anything but.
I think, if given the choice, I'd go with up close beauty. Which is good because that's more or less how I view myself. Not anything to write home about from across the room but I like to imagine that I'm a different specimen up close, better looking, finer, more put together than first impressions might have indicated. But I don't know, I should just shut the hell up and get back to work as my lunch is now over.
By the way, I'm mildly fixated on this work thing. I can't detail it here now but I'm irritated by it. No other way to say it. It'll pass because its not worth the time or energy. But I'm still presently pissed off. Now I will begin to implement my new concept, Operation You-Don't-Exist. Updates may be forthcoming or they may not be. Can't promise anything these days anymore.
