Stupid Browser Issues
Okay, I'm going to vent for just a minute or two and then address what the fuck is going on.
Why or how do Netscape and Internet Explorer differ so much in how they "interpret" html? Its the same language (or should be) but while the page looks perfect in Netscape, I get this stupid, super wide grey band in IE (which I hate, for the record, IE sucks and it sucks ten times more that the world has standardized on a crappy browser). Nothing I do or adjust changes the size of that band, just where my links are in that band.
Ahhhh, I fucking hate IE, I hate that I've gotta check code in multiple browsers just to make sure things work for the most minute of changes. And I don't even like how the page is rendered in IE in any case, fonts are off, spacing's off and the whole thing looks cheesier than it already is.
All of that said, does anyone know what the hell is going on and, more importantly, how to fix this stupid width issue? I'll likely just start fresh with the template clean again tonight and repaste everything back in again but that gets old when its just a simple (or should be) value adjustment.
** Update ** It was the BlogRoll java script code monkeying the works this time. Mucho thanks to Hardy for his timely intervention and keeping me from throwing my computer through the wall. Though it'd be one less PC box in the world and that's a good start.
