Some Crazy Linkin' Lovage
This first link comes from Jay from last night and is damned funny. Computer Destruction 101 which details, with pictures of biting (though incredibly funny) techie commentary. Like what drill bit to use to destroy a keyboard fastest. This is an older page (1997!) but its still funny and just as relevant today as it was back then in the dark ages of computing (he actually talks about floppy disks! what the hell is a floppy disk?).
Obesity Not A Personal Failing, But A Battle Against Biology is something that I was compelled to put in here today. I'm not sure how much of this I buy because I've witnessed overweight people's non struggle to not eat portions five times bigger than what they need. I'm sure that some obesity is genetic, it has to be, just as some people are naturally lean but a finger point must also go to the mass marketed garbage food that is the fast food industry. And the predilection for people to sit on their asses all night and stuff their faces with doritos and ding dongs (not THAT kind of ding dong, geez!) and they wonder why they keep putting on weight. Exercise restraint, exercise your body, exercise your ability to take control of your life, your body and your weight. And please, quit bitching about how hard it is to lose weight when you're eating two Big Macs for lunch everyday.
New Category in Block of Connects
I've added Ebay Auctions to the block of personal links. Not a whole lot of auctions up right now but its a start and I do like using Ebay as my slow motion garage sale. Let's see, what's up there now? A Firewire webcam, a half helmet for motorcycles, the Soundbug (a cool unit but not right for me), my Sharper Image Sound Soother (I've got three sound makers now and don't need it) and my green cruiser frame (since I'm buying the Phat Cruiser). Is this crass commercialism? Maybe but I don't think so. Just another extension of who I am and what I'm doing.
