Mac DVR

I came across a page on MacOSX Hints that details how to convert a Mac into a DVR based on a new rule that forces cable operators to supply cable boxes with FireWire connections, macosxhints - Record and playback high definition TV signals. Its processor intensive and will eat up hard drive space like nobody's business. But it can be done, the two programs needed to do it are free and you can, effectively, have a G5 powered PVR.
