Well, it was a long, long day but it was fun. Dave Matthews and his band played at San Francisco's Polo Field or Grounds, whichever. It was an intimate affair our little party of eight and one hell of a lot of other people.
Put it this way, we didn't get anywhere closer than several football fields away close to the stage. There were lots of other people.
But it was fun, people were cool, there were more than plenty enough port a pots, lots of food and drink stands and enough space to relax and have a nice time.
Getting into and out of the city was interesting. I can say that I like Bart, I've rarely disliked Bart but Muni just kind of well sucks. And SFPD likes to block streets for no real reason so that we had to watch the driver re-attach the cables to the wires above the street.
We also got to see a minivan get a little mini-er by ramming into a sedan. An old wankass in a big SUV nearly killed us on the way up and then gave me the finger when I flexed mine for him. I shot a whole crapload of pictures, some are worthwhile, some are stupid and some are pics of pretty chicks or one air guitar hero behind us.
Nande had a long playdate and is pretty well out now. Graydon spent the day with his grandparents, the first day away from both of us and it was not without its moments of stress. But we all came through happily, got home safely and are ready to crawl into bed for some well deserved rest.
Pics tomorrow, maybe.
