The news show I watch in the mornings is interviewing a lesbian and a Marriage-is-for-a-man-and-a-woman-ONLY guy about the California Supreme Court's decision to overturn all of the recent San Francisco marriages that were signed off on by new mayor Gavin Newsom.
The man and woman marriage argument is irritating and discriminatory. Marriage should be between two people who love each, their sex shouldn't matter, the fact that they will love, care, honor and protect each other should matter.
I'm sick and tired of narrow and intolerant religious nutfucks who get on a soapbox and pound the same stupid and ineffective argument against same-sex marriage.
It shouldn't be an issue at all, but it is. Why are we wasting our time on something that's pretty self evidently proper, just and the right thing to do?
