This Olympics has just been made for me. I watched the US Men's Volleyball team lose three games to one to the Italian team. During the final run up of points that saw the Italians come from behind to get the win in game four, there was some jawing back and forth among the two teams.
After the Americans lost, the cameras got in close to the net so you could see them yapping at each other. And I got treated to listening to the two sets of top athletes from two nations engage in some good old fashioned "Fuck you", "No, fuck you" just like on schoolyards around the world everyday.
I was filled with warm fuzzies.
I don't know the Italian coach had to jump in and remind them all that it was the fuckin' Olympics and they should be behaving a little better.
Oh yeah, and the Dream Team got their asses kicked today. I'd like to join the long line of people saying, "HA!".
