1. Who was or is your most unlikely friendship?
I've thought about this one for a while and I think I'm going to have to go with a guy I knew while I lived in South Africa back in the early 90's. His name was Roman and he was part of the cleaning crew at the gym I worked at. The unlikely part is that he was a member of the African National Congress and was, shall we say, a little more fervent than most. He would tell me about the house he'd already picked out as his own once the democratic elections took place. I didn't want to burst his bubble by letting him know that it almost certainly wouldn't be working like that. An interesting if slightly naive guy. I wonder what happened to him after the elections as I'd already left the country by then.
2. What Fear Factor stunt would you design?
The best stunts are the ones that get the pretty people in their swimsuits so its gotta be near water. I've always liked the helicopter water stunts where the players have to do something difficult while being slung around by a helicopter. I think I'd go with trying to do multiple flips while suspended underneath a helicopter as it flies around above a huge lake.
3. Which stunt would defeat you?
Any of that eating cow's eyes or the super nasty smelling stuff. I've got no problem eating it but the smell is the killer.
4. What movies do you know by heart?
In my youth in rural Vermont, there wasn't anything like cable so we watched our taped movies often. I can recite The Road Warrior, Christine, The Blue Brothers and Raising Arizona without much trouble at all.
5. What is your favorite post on someone else's blog?
Ryan's 4th of July post is classic. He meant well but had made the tactical error of opening up an insult war with Joshua. The comments were classic and still make me laugh. Ryan's previous post about a college room mate is pretty excellent as well.
6. What's your favorite leftover food?
It used to be cold pizza but its now been replaced by an unlikely leftover, cold marinated skirt steak. The only problem is that there's usually none leftover to have the next morning or early afternoon, depending.
7. Who was the last person who challenged your beliefs and got you to change your mind?
None may dare challenge my beliefs! Oh wait, yeah, yeah, unexamined life, yadda, yadda, yadda.
8. How do you waste time you should spend doing useful stuff?
Lately I've been playing Unreal Tournament 2004 and love it. Played loud its an all absorbing game with gun fire, death screams, taunts and non-stop gory action.
That was fun, want some
