With the latest addition of the Bambino and the ever expanding hound that is Nande, we needed to get ourselves a bigger people (and dog) mover.
Enter the Ford Escape and happiness reigns supreme.
After alot of research and searching, I found the right one in Los Gatos and we went to get it last night. Its great too. Comfortable and feels huge inside but isn't huge outside.
So far my cool favorite thing is the stereo, its a six disc changer that loads all of the discs directly into the dash, no more trunk loading. I'm working out the iPod connection now but the 6 disc is a good start. And it goes real loud too!
So we are loading up the family for another day of firsts. First all family outing, Graydon's first trip to the beach, more off leash time for Nande and I'm sure there's more.
[Update: I've been compelled, via a couple of comments, to further justify and explain my position regarding SUVs and road hog machines. Basically, I've got less of a problem with big vehicles being used to haul big families around. Sure, there are all kinds of other social questions that come in to play but it really came down to what worked for us. For alot less than a Forrester, we got a station wagon that's got a higher center of gravity. If we didn't need it then we wouldn't have gotten it and I do plan on eventually switching to a hybrid as they come out onto the market in greater numbers.]
