Why Sundays Keep Me Sane

The rest of the week is busy and I have a vague idea of what's coming but nothing is clear until its actually on top of me and threatening.

But not Sunday, Sunday is beach day, Sunday is hanging out down in the hot sand with my friends, letting Nande get her wrassle on with Modoc and Brady, trying to play volleyball, talking trash, splashing around in the, lately, very heavy pounding surf and sloughing off the care's of the week.

And Nande's improving nicely too, she barked her head off through most of the first game but started to settle down towards the end. And she barked some during the second game but was pretty good overall. She is learning. Oh yeah, I had a good time with her at the gas station too. Last week I got the camper shell out of the garage (and freed up a huge amount of room) and back onto the truck. So, while I was loading up with gas, Nande was climbing into the camper area and trying to get at me through the lift up doors. I walked all the way around the truck and she followed me everywhere inside it. It was pretty funny to watch and she learned a little more too, she can now balance on top of the tool box in the bed while I drive.

While my sweet and stuffed to the gills wife was off at a baby shower, I took Nande back to the neighborhood and we relaxed on the sand in the sun.

Sure, I come home tired and somewhat crisp most of the time but its so worth the time and effort to get out there with her. And, because, not everyone is close enough to the beach to get out and smack the ball around, I offer you Boom Boom Volleyball as a decent substitute. And if any of you get past level 5 and get the password to get them to play topless then you must pass that password along to me!

In fact, not one but two games this morning to pass along. MiniClip, which has the Boom Boom Volleyball game has a whole bunch (and I mean, a WHOLE bunch) of other games, I liked the Presidential Punch-Out alot. But the other game is bloody, basic and fun, its called Bowman and is basically one of those cannon games where you adjust for distance and angle (and can add wind) and then unleash an arrow that can go right through your opponent's neck. Nice, eh?

And that's the weekend wrap! Next weekend will see new carpet being installed, oh boy! And if I can get it taken care of this week, we'll also be getting some new skylights too! Double oh boy!
