I came across a link to an article entitled something like, Rooftop Wind Turbines Shall Set Us Free on Minding the Planet but the original link was to the UK's Independent and they wanted cash money to check out the article so I Googled the title and found the royalty free link above.
The premise is that a small wind turbine, about the size of a mini satellite dish, will sit on your rooftop, pay for itself in 3 years, last for 20 and you get to get off the grid. Me? I'm thinking that if one is good then ten would be awesome and instead of getting off the grid, I'd be producing power to the rest of the grid. And that means money, money, money coming in instead of it flowing out.
And then those rat chewing Enron fucks can suck my clean renewable energy ass. Has anyone else heard some of the tape recordings of these scumbags talking about manipulating the power lines into California to gouge this state even more? Outrage barely covers the level of fury I have for these despicable excuses for human beings.
There are wind farms in the Bay Area already, out near Livermore and on the way to Brentwood over Vasco Road. I kind of dig seeing the big turbines spinning, especially the ones that spin vertically around the shaft rather than like a propeller.
