I'm a big fan of satire when its done right, like this post on
One Girl's Life: 12 Reasons Homosexual Marriage is Wrong. The only problem with satire is that there are always going to be some half brain dead hater trolls coming around and spreading their hate.
In the comments on Rori's thread above, a troll by the name of Matt takes over the comment thread with a long and incredibly poorly constructed argument without any support whatsoever. So I wrote an even longer, "fisked" rebuttal to his argument. I don't think I'll make any dent in his "knowledge" but it felt good to deconstruct his argument and point out the failings in his logic.
By the way, One Girl's Life is a fairly new regular read for me and recommended reading for others as well. Even if its just to ogle that wicked nice pic of Milla!
Hey Matt, quit sowing hate, all you will reap is more fury, less tolerance and an uglier world.
Allowing same sex couples to marry and enjoy the benefits and recognition of marriage isn't just the right thing to do, its almost certainly a good thing to do for the institution.
