Curious Thread and This is Only the Beginning
Reading over on Metafilter today there's a post about how far digital rights extend.
eBay used as Intellectual Property Rights Testing Ground.

It will be most interesting to watch this one play out.

[Update: The bidding was at $350 when I first saw this but exposure on Metafilter has driven lots of interest and the bidding's now up to $780. What are people thinking? Or is it just to take part in the experiment?]

[Second Update: eBay has gotten wise to the heavily trafficked auction, more than 50,000 page views yesterday alone, and has cancelled the auction. Which still leaves the question in the air, only now eBay won't be used as the forum to test the legality of reselling digital property. Guess that means we'll have to leave it up to the courts.]
