Awesome Quote for the Day
This one goes out to Layne and is definitely going up in my permanent list of top level quotes. And it doesn't that I studied William James back in college either.
The greatest discovery of my generation is that man can alter his life simply by altering his attitude of mind.

Finally got around to updating my song list in the nav bar on the left. And added a couple of new metrics for kicks although I'm thinking that I should probably not advertise how many songs I've got in my library or the RIAA might come after me like they did in this SFGate story, This Is How We Strongarm You little Punk-Ass Kids. Want a taste of Morford's vitriol for the day?
"The recording industry's decision to sue four college students it accused of setting up servers to make thousands of songs available online for downloading has paid off -- and not just in money. While admitting no wrongdoing, the students agreed to pay damages of up to $17,500 each, the RIAA snorted, like snarling corporate dronepigs. But perhaps more significantly, the industry credited the lawsuits with prompting at least 18 other similar networks at universities to go off-line, though failing to acknowledge that their paranoid bitch-ass uptight strongarm tactics will do absolutely nothing to slow the mad rush of their own imminent demise, as they cling like frantic leeches to their dwindling dollars as millions upon millions of people embrace the new technology and discover free downloading and streamripping and CD burning while the RIAA's lame-ass outdated consumer-reaming business model and price-fixed $20 CDs become decreasingly relevant and increasingly insulting. "That'll show you punkass dweebs to mess with the RIAA!" screeched one corporate monkey, as the actual artists involved in all of this got exactly nothing. "
