Apparently Steinbrenner put the kibosh on the Spiderman 2 ads on the bases. That and the pretty widespread outrage from the fans.

But then, I did come closer to realizing why Selig wanted to do it in the first place. Could this be part of the reason? Brewers in debt, but revenues up. Nah. He'd never be a little weasel like that, would he?

By the way, this is going to be a politics free Friday for as long as I can stand it. I will do my best because its hard to live by political fury along. And besides, there's a juicy new Cheddar X to work on.

Oh wait, one wee political statement (I tried). I don't know if Rumsfeld should lose his job over the POW abuses in Iraq but the rhetoric from the GOP is sickening. They seem to have totally forgotten that they tried to impeach Bill Clinton for a blowjob. Now they are asking whether someone should lose their job for something like this? Um yeah, if you're going to go after the president for a hummer then yes, Don Rumsfeld should lose his job for his lack of control of the prison system in Iraq. Duh, you can't have it both ways.
