So that's it? Seed is the only one who stepped up to the plate and made an effort to defend his support for George Bush? I suspected as much. Seed did point out a policy that seems to be working and can be put down as a victory of sorts for the Bush camp. My counter argument is that one small salient point is just a drop in the ocean of evil that's been committed upon the nation and the world. But I do appreciate Seed taking the time to engage in the discussion.
Melanie makes a good point in questioning whether there really is a fundamental difference in how GOP heads process information and how the rest of us do. She, somewhat facetiously, postulates that GOP heads pursue a path leading to the promised land of holy salvation. And perhaps faith is a major component of the willfull ignorance demonstrated by the majority of GOPheads (pronounced Gofeds and I think is far more appropriate than calling them the Right because they aren't Right, they're wrong).
Anyway. Inability to form a cogent argument for support in your candidate bodes well for the upcoming election and the repeal and return to sanity that a real leader means.
The man's faults are legion, his smarminess, his jump to action, his misleading, his lying, his inability to accept fault for screwing up, his need to have his VP with him to avoid tripping over their stories for the 9/11 commission, his spending yours and my money like there really is no tomorrow. His rubber stamping of damned near every bill that's crossed his desk, his subsidizing of American companies as they offshore jobs, his standard policy of cutting taxes for the wealthiest Americans instead of addressing the real issues, his bold faced lie about caring for each school child and then underfunding education by $25 billion dollars.
Oh well, anyway its now official. I've not only pledged my support to the Kerry campaign. I'm going to be working in the local Democrat offices to support the campaign with my sweat for real now.
