I don't know about most people but I'm so very much looking forward to post November and a time when I can return to reading my friend's blogs and return to reading other blogs that I've had to stop reading.
Why?
Because it seems like every blog out there is polarized to one side or the other in this coming presidential election.
I'm tired of having to argue moot points about stuff that happened before I was born. I'm tired of seeing WMD in the news, I'm tired of reading about the latest stupidity from the White House, from the Vatican and from MoveOn. I'm tired of everyone going from reasonable and rational discourse to spitting fury in just a few sentences. I'm tired of each side claiming the higher moral ground.
I'm just tired of the whole damn election. Can't we talk about something else for just a week or so? Let our batteries recharge, let our stress discharge and come back to it next week with a fresh perspective and a mind that's not clamped shut?
I don't think it'll happen but boy it would be nice. Instead, I think I'm going to put on some loud music and put down a new kitchen floor.
