More Internet Horrors Just Around the Corner
From a posting I read over on Jivha I learned about a wonderful new way for socially inept wankers to ruin your day even more. They're called decompression bombs and they initially appear to be a small file but if you are unlucky enough to open this little bugger, they start to expand and expand and expand.
Think a 6-7k file eventually ballooning up to a 100GB file!
Do you have a spare 100 gigs of space on your computer? I know I don't. So what happens? Apps crash, systems overload and crash, hard drives fill up and basically, life turns to shit until you get the bastard deleted.
I found a site with some good information about them called Aera Sec Network Securities and they even have a nice and concise overview for the time compressed.

I remember when computers were useful tools for productivity. Now they're ways for irritating losers to wreak havoc on the world.
