Final Thought of the Day

Aside from blog comment wars and life online, life offline continues apace.

We went to see the puppy again tonight and had a ball with the dozen pups and the momma dog. They're all getting bigger quickly and they can be a bit of a handful at first. Upon first arrival, they all want attention. And by attention, I mean, picking them up, petting them, letting them lick and nip at your chin and face and love them. Twelve at once.

The largest is about 15 pounds now and the smallest is about 10 so they've got mass when they come barreling down the little hill to you.

Our pup was awesome though. She knows us both well and has a little extra wiggle in her excitement when we come out. She looks at both of us with a smile in her eyes and, when I put her on my lap, she sits contentedly, without trying to nip or anything, she just loves being with us. Both myself and P, its pretty awesome! And when the pups get tired of us and start wrestling again, she'll come back every few minutes to say hi and get some extra special attention.

It is heartwarming to see her happiness and how calm she is in our arms or on our laps. Both of us cannot wait to bring her home.

But the best part? We are now officially going to be allowed to adopt her and bring her home! It'll be a little later than we'd been planning on originally but we're working on a workaround for that. I'm just super excited about having her now and cannot wait to bring her into our growing little family!

See? I'm not all vitriol and indignance.
