French Sense of Humor or just an Idiot?
I thought people had realized by now that there are times and places where you don't make jokes. Funerals are a good place to be somber and show some class.

The one is airport security checkpoints where even the dimmest bulb in the bunch will be able to recognize that its not a laughing matter to safely transport a plane full of people. That's why its even more amazing that this happened with the co-pilot of the plane!

A full plane of people stranded, security personel put on high alert because this moron thought he'd be clever and joke about possibly having explosives in his shoes? I've said it before and I'll say it again, I just don't get the French's sense of humor.

And now this dumbass may spend up to seven years in prison for it. Boy I hope the rolling on the floor laughter he got for his incredibly stupid comment was worth wasting 7 years of his life in prison for.

When are people going to wake up and recognize that there's a time and place for everything. Airport security checkpoints are not the place to crack jokes about guns, bombs and terrorism. No one will laugh and now you can face jail time for off handed comments.
