While its a pretty picture, its eerie too.
The good thing from the blackout is that there haven't been any reports of serious looting or assaults or anything like that. And I've seen several prognostications about there being a torrent of blackout babies so I'm guessing that people found something to do without the TV on.
And really, what better power outage activity is there than making sweet love to your honey by candlelight?
Although the Mayor of Toronto is imploring people to use flashlights instead of candles to see by for some unknown reason but it has to do with making money for his son somehow. But he also thinks there'll be a baby boom nine months from now. Whatever, he's a whack job who will look like a genius if California elects a porn star, the Terminator, Arnold from Different Strokes or any number of the other nutters trying to run our state.

This is insane! How can this many people be dying because of the heat? And I heard a reporter say that the actual number of deaths is much higher. Most of the dead are elderly folks who have passed on as a result of heat stroke or dehydration.
This is really very sad and what an awful way to go, dying for lack of a drink of water? Damn. Makes me thirsty just thinking about it.
