Late Friday Five
1. What was the first band you saw in concert?
Merle Haggard, does he count as a band? I was about 12 and it was in St. Johnsbury, Vermont.
2. Who is your favorite artist/band now?
Blackalicious, Cake, Del tha Funkee Homosapien and many others. Tatu is also excellent.
3. What's your favorite song?
Really digging on the White Stripes' "Seven Nation Army" but there are plenty of others, Heiroglyphics "At the Helm" is excellent as well. Same with Bloodhound Gang's "Take the Long Way Home".
4. If you could play any instrument, what would it be?
One of those mega instruments in the Dr. Suess books that's like three stories tall.
5. If you could meet any musical icon (past or present), who would it be and why?
Dickey Barrett from the Mighty Mighty Bosstones because he grew up with my brother in law and he is, if the stories I've heard are true, one of the funniest and funnest people to spend time with.
