Errata: Links, Trivial News, Dates and Whatnot Detritus from My Brain
On this date: Mar 04, 1634, Samuel Cole opened the first tavern in Boston, MA.
Todays' Quote from Charles Darwin (a personal hero of mine even if he did waste a tremendous amount of his brain power in trying to reconcile evolution with creationism, that bastard pseudo scientific response to evolution by the Church) Quote: If I had my life to live over again, I would have made a rule to read some poetry and listen to some music at least once a week. Thanks to EB for reminding me that, though I know what the quote is, its not so apparent to others. Or, in the words of Homer Jay Simpson, "DOH!"
Local Funny Stuff
I happened to click through the local access cable channel last night and saw a video game being played where historical figures were wrestling WWF style. This is the same show that pitted local government and notable characters as football players in a bastardized version of Madden 2002 (or 2003, can't recall right now). Anyway, check out the Santa Cruz Entertainment Sports Network and give the guys some props. They put together some damned funny stuff. Well worth a look at what some local boys are doing. And yeah, I'll likely add them to my local sites links.
For Partially Useful Inventions or Just Funny Ideas
Tired of your coolest inventions being laughed into extinction? Then you should be hitting up the Half Bakery where you can register funky ideas and see how they play off with other people. My cell phone gun idea is up there still there with plenty of insightful comments. Hey, toss up your idea and see if it sticks.
And I think that's about it for now, time for lunch and to get back on work tasks.
