Cheesed Feed

So there has been one kind of annoying casualty in the move from FTP publishing to custom domain publishing via Blogger and that is the death of my previous RSS feed.

Which kind of sucks because I've got no means of going back and posting one final note to that feed to update it to the new one. Not that I had a ton of subscribers or anything but this whole Blogger migration thing has been one giant pain in the ass and I'm becoming more and more tempted to convert the whole damned blog to Wordpress and be done with it.

So, apologies to any feed readers that have gotten left out in the cold. I've updated the feeds this morning, created a new Feedburner feed for the site which will be updatable regardless of where the site goes.

Just another spoonful of annoying on top of an already annoying day.

Almost There

The migration from publishing to my own hosted space to posting to Google's Blogger space is nearly complete. The only hurdle left to clear is creating this whole missing files redirect thing because all of my images and files did not transfer and they're stuck on a site without a domain now.

I would be lying if I said the missing files host stuff made a whole lot of sense because it really doesn't to me. I will continue to work on that part but I will also going back through recent posts and re-adding the graphics so that the site looks more or less the way I intended it to.

I still need to do this for Wal-Mart is Pure Evil too since that's been moved to a Blogspot site.

What fun all of this is and I'm so lucky I don't have anything else to do right now. ** Woops, my sarcasm meter just exploded. **

And We're Back!

Well now, that wasn't near as difficult or painful as I expected it to be. I'm sure there'll be some lost links and files and things but, for the most part, the migration was a pretty smooth one.

And now there's no space limitations, the support site seems to work without issues and we're no longer paying for hosting on two different sites. Seems like a solid win/win to me.

Actually, the site finished migrating yesterday, I just got sidetracked with a kid's party and then a sweet night of UFC 98 ass kicking action!

Quick Note

I got a few minute and relocated IP Politik to its own blogspot URL, IP Politik to help start the process of cleaning up my feeds.

If you're a reader, you might want to update your bookmark or feed link.

Next up will be moving WIPE to its own blogspot URL as well.
