Convicted Calif. Molester Jumps to Death because he was facing 20 hard years in prison for repeatedly molesting a young girl over a five year period.
I wish I could feel bad for the guy but he knew what he was doing, did it over a long period of time and was convicted of it. That he committed suicide rather than spend a long time getting his ass kicked in prison is really okay with me.
I hate to say it but the world is a better place without him. He was guilty, he was a disgusting pedophile and his suicide will actually save alot of money.
Some might consider his suicide a miscarriage of justice but I think its a speeded up sentencing and carrying out of that sentence.
I think that convicted criminals should be given the option to die rather than face a lifetime in prison. I think that suicide should be embraced as a respectable way to atone for your crimes. It certainly means you won't be a repeat offender.
I've always thought how odd it is that the police would fight to save him just to lock him in a room for 20 years. Why not skip right to the end and let him die? Is that cold of me? I can be colder, why not let his victim be the one that pushes him off the building?

An Update on the Neighbors
My neighbors, the ones who were total jerks but moved out more than a year ago now because the dad couldn't pay his mortgage and child support his daughter sued him for, well he's in the process of defaulting on his home loan and his house is going to be publicly auctioned off.
Which makes me thoroughly happy. Not so much that he's having financial trouble though I would bailing his two misfit sons out of jail every other week isn't helping, but that they won't be moving back in, ever.
If we were in a better financial position, I'd actually consider trying to buy the house. Especially since it will probably sell for an absolute steal given the market conditions and the surplus of foreclosed homes on the market. Anyone got an extra $350,000 laying around they want to invest in some real estate?
Can you say Karmic Justice? I knew you could.

The Juice Isn't Loose
O.J. Simpson accused in Las Vegas robbery over sports memorabilia
Boy, talk about living inside a bubble. How could this double murdering moron not know that his every move was going to be scrutinized and that committing (allegedly) a strong arm robbery wouldn't come back to bite him in his double murdering ass?
And then we find out that one of his own goons taped the incident and we might as well skip to the sentencing phase.
OJ now faces up to 30 years in prison for his actions and I'd imagine that a judge would be hard pressed to not bring the heaviest smackdown he could on him. Call it karmic backlash, call it justice, call it whatever you want but it appears that OJ is going to prison.
And that's fine by me and, very likely, the majority of this country that was outraged when he was found not guilty that bloody double murder of his ex-wife and Ron Goldman.

Now If Only Everyone Else Would Follow Suit
O.J. Tossed From Steakhouse on Derby Eve because the owner was sickened by how much attention people gave him. That and he was quite sure O.J. murdered two people and got away with it.
Good on ya, Jeff Ruby, you've set an example that the rest of the world should follow. What good is freedom if you're a prisoner of your own public history?
It is a nice idea but the reality is that people with money, even money they aren't supposed to have, will find places that will happily accept it.
But wow, a party of 12 with O.J., that's 12 people that don't really have much of a conscience. But I guess even the devil him (or her) self has a posse for back up.
