Just got this in an email from my sister-in-law and thought it was definitely worthy of passing along to the random hordes that surf through Intellectual Poison on any given day (lately the tide has been bringing WalMart is Evil folks)
Anyway, here's the message to be spread.
WHAT: A community-based gathering to express collective sadness for recent events and to share hope that they will never happen again.
WHEN: Wednesday, May 19, 2004 - 8:00 pm (I guess that'd be 5 pm tomorrow out here on the west coast)
WHERE: Outside homes, restaurants, shops, etc. in every neighborhood
HOW: Go outside. Light a candle. Bring an extra candle & matches to share with neighbors
PLUS: New Yorkers invite people everywhere to join them. Spread the word.
