Wow, that's really all I can after reading this article in SF Gate about Pat Tillman, about his brother's request for the religious folks to holster their bromides and the article goes on to illuminate the kind of man Tillman was. Pat Tillman continues to amaze as his life is opened more and more. Not just his patriotism but his thoughts, his deeds and his life are an example of the examined life and he lived it ethically and by his own standards.
[Update: There is an extensive comment thread on this news on MetaFilter, complete with trolls calling him a bloodthirsty bastard who wanted to kill people. Some of the comments are pretty offensive and disrespectful but there is a strong and interesting conversation that's worth a read.
