Yeah, yeah, this has been happening for a while now. But I just read an article about his new, openly pro-Bush talk show and I'm curious about how he got himself so far up the government's ass that he doesn't know where he ends and they begin.
He used to be mildly funny in an, oh-I-get-it-its-fun-to-be-an-intellectual way. But he's also completely taken with his own brilliance, he's smart but he's not that smart. There are plenty of other people out there who could talk circles around him easily. I understand intellectualism, the creeping superiority that comes from knowing you're in the top 1% of the world's brains. Its not that big a deal though. One percent of six billion is 60 million brains. That's a helluva lot of smart folks, eh?
Anyway, Dennis Miller is an irritating little GOP lapdog now. He's got nothing to say that I have any interest in hearing and it'll be a happy day when he's put out to pasture. Same thing with no talent knucklehead Colin Quinn, who wouldn't know funny if he stepped in it and got it all over his carpet.
Now John Stewart? Comedic genius and truly funny without sucking fumes from the wankers in the White House.
But then, as Joshua responded to a pretty silly comment on Ryan's the other day, I tend to agree and find funniest those opinions and beliefs that jibe with my own.
