Things I Don't Get or Teh Stoopid, It Burns!!1!!

Another post of head scratching things that just don't make a whole lot of sense to me. I guess this post should be filed under Old Codger not get offa my lawn!

I do not understand.

- Non-millionaires who vote Republican. The GOP has made it clear that they couldn't care less about anyone who's not a millionaire. In fact, some of them actively hope all non-millionaires just drop dead.

- Real, live people voted for Michelle Bachmann? Not brain dead coma patients, people with pulses and everything elected this nincompoop to national office? And they still support her? Yeah, she's from the same state that elected Jesse "The Body" Ventura as governor but still, she's about five beers short of a six pack. How can you tell when she's lying? Easy, her mouth is moving.

Seeking Signifigance

I have this tendency to seek poignancy and significance in everything. From parsing the meta-messaging in Dora the Explorer to trying to figure out the subliminal messaging in the ad about boner pills (what is the friggin' deal with the annoying whistling?). Or the order in which testimonials are delivered or the group of friends out on the town that includes one of each color, race and gender.

And, sometimes, I have to remind myself that, sometimes, what it is is all it is.

I'm partial to 3's but I also still like 9 and 11 because that's my birthday.

I've got lots of words, ones that I made up (like secrutiny and or urbal) and words someone else got to first, like nictitating, malodorous and chunder.

For boys - Alexander, Davis, Graydon and Sullivan (of course)
For girls - Cassandra, Nina, Michelle and Chastity (but only if she's got really loose morals because I like irony!)

4. What are your days?
Easy, Saturday and Sunday.

5. What are your colors?
Greens are good.

6. What are your flavors?
Cinnamon, basil, garlic, teriyaki, pineapple grilled on top of marinated skirt steak.

7. What are your scents?
Basil, sweat (my own, thanks), campfires, lime and mint mashed together (as in mixing up some mojitos), freshly cut grass and freshly cut wood.

8. What are your sounds?
Children's laughter, my motorcycle at 10,000 rpm, dead silence at 10 pm (nothing like sleeping kids!), the hum of bike tires during a high speed descent and the crack of a baseball bat when one of the Giants crushes the ball!
