Feedback

Trying out Haloscan's rating system. Because, as all bloggers, I crave feedback, validation and digital interaction. We'll see if it stays or not. I wish it were toggle-able for individual posts rather than the whole nine yards across all of my blogs on or off.

Oh well.

The question is, is no rating better or worse than a low rating?

Recognition

So in the last two days I've gotten major props from one of my principals and my tech liaison at another school. The principal has recommended me for a promotion to another position in tech. The liaison made sure my boss knew just how much he appreciated my work and what a great job I'd been doing.

Which, as you might guess, makes me feel pretty damned good about my job, my work, my schools and more.

Sometimes getting external recognition is more important than knowing you did a job well. And its alot more likely to result in raises and/or promotions.

Feedback on Snap Preview Anywhere?

So its been a couple of weeks since I installed Snap's Preview Anywhere that lets surfers get an idea of what's behind a link.

I've read some pretty scathing commentary on the non-utility of the service and wonder what my readers think about the "feature".

Is it just useless "bling" as others have said or do you find it to be a useful addition to the site?

[Update: The bling has been removed. I liked the idea but the practical reality is that it just wasn't all that useful, slowed down load times and had to go.]
