One for Four Isn't Bad, If You're a Baseball Player

Its a little less encouraging when you're only batting .250 as President. Here's a little poll from iWon (yeah, I know, methodology sucks, blah, blah, blah, its a web poll) and bolded emphasis is mine.

Do you approve or disapprove of President Bush's handling of the following:
The Economy - 37% - Approve, 51% - Disapprove, 11% - I'm not sure, 1% - I don't care
The War on Terrorism - 53% - Approve, 39% - Disapprove, 8% - I'm not sure, 0% - I don't care
The situation in Iraq - 40% - Approve, 50% - Disapprove, 10% - I'm not sure, 0% - I don't care
The Environment - 34% - Approve, 47% - Disapprove, 18% - I'm not sure, 1% - I don't care.

That's three of four pretty important issues that Bush is disapproved on. Those naysayers declaring the race over are smoking crack. Bush needs to demonstrate some real leadership, some real movement and some really good ideas for him to stay in power. And backing off from debates isn't a good step (unless he's pulling a rope-a-dope like he did in 2000 to sucker Gore in for a beating, thanks to Ryan for the reminder).
