The Wheels Are Starting to Come Off
An honest man indeed! Bush has a tab due for deception. Its about time people starting seeing through his smirking veneer for the lip flappin' chimp beneath. First, flap over Bush's military record continues in which we learn that he was basically absent for a year or more from the National Guard (I think he had a note from his daddy though so that probably makes it okay, right?), the slow rolling over of budget surplus into the largest deficits in the history of the country and now, the pulling back of the wool Bush, Cheney, Ashcroft and all the other cronies put over the eyes of the country with their lies about WMD's in Iraq.
In the light of his recently revealed military records and the lies spread to get into Iraq, the incredibly stupid and vain Bush Aviator Action Hero doll is even more of an affront to the real heros in all of this.
It is my fervent hope that these people are held accountable for all of the deaths that they have caused as a result of their lies and deception. I know it won't ever happen but its my wish. So, if there are any wish granting genies out there, grant me this one. But let me add that I want them in a regular prison, not some minimum security country club bullshit. You want deterrence? Sentence them to one of those nasty places that nobody wants to go.
And it probably isn't helping that John Kerry is starting to really roll with his campaign. The democratic nomination race is all but over barring some last minute heroic actions by Dean, everyone else is done and Dean's just about done. The next step is to unite the party behind Kerry and get him in office.
Anybody But Bush in '04!
[Update: Maybe that should also be Anybody But Kerry as well after I just saw this "On the Democratic side, Massachusetts Sen. John Kerry, the front-runner for the party's presidential nomination, said, "I believe and have fought for the principle that we should protect the fundamental rights of gay and lesbian couples - from inheritance to health benefits. I believe the right answer is civil unions. I oppose gay marriage and disagree with the Massachusetts Court's decision." What in the fuck is wrong with these people? How is allowing two people who love each other to get married a threat to hetero marriages? There is no threat to the balance of the universe, homosexuality is a natural part of the world, there are gay animals, there have been gay people since people first became people. No, I'm not gay but I do believe in people's right to marry who they want to and these assholes are pissing me off. (Note: as pointed out by my cousin, Kerry is far, far, far lesser evil between Bush and Kerry and I will vote for him if he is the Democratic Party's nominee, he also seems like a fairly reasonable man who may be personally against something but understand that its still the right thing to do.)]
