When Real Life Imitates the Simpsons
I'm sure everyone remembers the excellent episode when Homer crosses a tobacco plant with a tomato plant and creates tomacco. Well, someone's actually gone ahead and crossed the two in real life and there is now Tomacco and yes they expect the tomatoes to contain nicotine. Oh boy, addictive fruit!

Its kind of a funny idea come to life but on the same token, do we really need nicotine laced plants and fruit? What could be the benefit? Aside from a way to getting addicts to eat their vegetables and then get a little buzz from them.

Anyway, its good to be back in the office after an interesting day at BorCon. And I'm headed back up there tomorrow morning for the keynote. Today's keynote was by Jonathan Schwartz and was excellent, he demo'ed Sun's new desktop environment created entirely in Java and it was both gorgeous and practical. The other cool thing is that it can be deployed on any machine because its all Java, take that Microsoft.

But damn was it chilly coming back over the hill!
