Marketing Oxymorons
I just did a Google search on blog rings and came up with this ad on the top of the page.
Now at Wal-Mart: Keepsake Fine Jewelry
www.walmart.com Dazzling diamonds and a Best Price Guarantee.

Um yeah, would you, as a woman want to know that you're boyfriend/husband/whatever bought you a diamond ring at Walmart?
Or is that just a West Coast snobbery against Walmart? A place that I hate for lots of reasons, first and foremost is that its the great melting pot of commerce, you can't get what you want there, you can get what Walmart has decided you want. They are social engineers on a national scale (do they have stores in other countries?) and they also force suppliers to kow tow to their methods of doing business or they blacklist them and can never sell their wares in their hallowed and garishly overlit halls.

Walmart sucks.
