Ratcheting up the Terror Machine
According to Reuters, the US goverment has asked the populance to put cloth over your face and wash your hands in the event of a terrorist attack. Ummm, what good are clean hands going to be if they got blown off or melted off by acid gas or whatever the terrorists are planning to use?
And what cloth is going to keep nerve gas at bay?
The original memo from the FBI's National Infrastructure Protection Center (yeah, what the heck is this? never heard of it before) is located here. Read up and get ready to freak out. Everyone's already got their duct tape sealed room in thier houses right?

Yeah, the whole universe seems strange and scary right now. Another news story talks about Bush telling US troops be ready IF war comes. IF? Come on now, we all know that ShrubCo's got to kick some Iraqi butt or we might just realize that they are doing a tremendously fine job of leading the USA into deep and serious recession combined with making more and more and more of the world HATE us.

Other, Lighter, News
Happy birthday to Peter Gabriel who turns 53 today and remains one of my favorite artists, both singing and visual. His vision is bizarre, fascinating and keeps me rapt. And many of his songs remain among my favorites still, Biko, Games without Frontiers, Solsbury Hill (my wake up song now), Steam, the entire Passion soundtrack to the Last Temptation of Christ movie, The Rythym of the Heat, Shock the Monkey, Don't Give Up and lots more.
Thanks Pete!
