For all their battling through out the day, for all their stealing of each other's toys, for all their wildness, even through it all, my boys do show moments of such beautiful tenderness and love for each other. It lasts all of three seconds usually though.
We took a walk at the Bamboo Giant in Freedom this afternoon as a way to change our attitude after the death of the puppy up the street.
The boys had a great time running around and I had a great time enjoying their happiness and excitement. And then there was this momentary meeting on a path where they both gave each other such wonderful hugs I can't even begin to say how happy this photo makes me.
Moments like these go a long way to making up for all the difficult moments throughout the rest of the day.

This is my brother's blog of his year off traveling around the world with his wife and two kids, Change in Plans.
I make no attempt to hide my struggles with his ability to take an entire year off to travel while my own family is struggling to make ends meet (and failing). But he is my brother and, regardless of my personal issues, I am deeply proud of his accomplishments.
