How hard is it to take a basic order and make it happen? And who in their right mind eats cold bagels anyway? Aside from some excellent looking fruit danishes and breakfast burritos, the bagel spot across the slough had a chance to win a new customer in me this morning. Instead, they cut corners, slacked when they could and will never see another buck of mine.
How hard is it to take a order for two onion bagels, both toasted, one with butter and one with salmon spread and chives? P's got toasted and buttered but mine just about a half gallon slathering of cream cheese with chunks of smoked salmon in it and some onions. On a cold untoasted bagel. Bleh. This had better not be what Monday is going to be like.
Oh wait, I just crapped my pants and my motorcycle exploded. Okay. I'm going to be hiding under my desk for the rest of the day. Sorry about the smell.
Oh wait, I can't yet. I've gotta tap out yesterday quickly. Nande got to get more beach time in. I played two games of volleyball, both games were decent on my skill side but I didn't win either. And Nande was barking her fool head off through most of the games. She doesn't get that she's not able to go anywhere she wants whenever she wants. After losing the second game (after a pretty strong showing and forcing the game into extra points) I took Nande down to the water to see how she'd do in the surf. As expected, she was more interested in the two dogs playing in the surf nearby and only interested in the water when I'd run her through it. And then she got into it some more and had a blast splashing around and chasing the retreating waves only to run like hell from the charging foam of the next wave.
Good fun and she got good and pooped out by wrestling with Modoc and Brady, her two pals who used to be more than twice her size but she's closing in fast! She came in at 46 pounds on Saturday!
Okay, time to hide. I wish I'd brought my wi-fi card for my Clie, then I could at least get some work done still. This week we get to begin house work, new skylights, new fence, new carpets, Pergo for the kitchen. We hope.
