Not So Stupid New Blog Tricks

...in November you will have to make a choice competency or "bring it on" stupidity vote wisely

So I was off reading Jennifer's History and Stuff and she mentioned a neat way to add some emphasis to posts. Ostensibly to excerpt part of the new post but I might just use it as a rotating billboard of messages.
Anyway, after a couple more hops, I came to Mandarin Design and they have some cool blog goodies to poke through, like Magazine Layout Float Right. Right and left cool side text, easily played with and tweaked to your own joy. And Clickable Chapter Headings. I'm sure this stuff is easy for some folks but I don't do code.

So its fun to find new toys to mess around with. And they've got plenty more. They have a refreshing philosophy regarding intellectual property and give blanket permission for everything they offer.

[Update: Well that's a bummer, it doesn't render quite as nicely in FireFox as it does in Explorer. I'd imagine Safari and Netscape will look like FireFox. Its not bad but not as good. I still like it though.]

[Second Update: Meg from Mandarin stopped by and advised me on how to fix the display issues for FireFox and it wasn't them at all. Just me and my garbled code. Thanks for the help! Now I'm just tweaking the colors some.]
