Using the Blog for Good, Save Overtime Pay and Screw Bush at the Same Time

Found this over on David Grenier a few minutes ago and felt that it was important enough to link to and direct more people too.

ShrubCo is working to repeal 8 million American's overtime pay, including some veterans in there as well. This is uncool, uncalled for and there is still time to do something about it. Go to Save Overtime Pay.org to sign the online petition or go here to download a petition form to get all the non-techies in on it.

Verbiage from the site: "President Bush is about to finalize changes in the laws governing overtime pay that could take away overtime protections from at least 8 million people. His changes will cut paychecks for families, erode the 40-hour workweek and encourage employers to require more overtime work. The changes include a new "military penalty" that would allow employers to use military training as the basis for cutting overtime pay.

We all need to get involved before these important workplace protections are hurt."
