The Invisible Splinter

Today is going to be a drag and tomorrow's not looking much better. You see, at some point over the weekend, I got a splinter. A very small splinter but its not the size, its where it get stuck.

And this splinter had perfect aim, right in the tip of my right index finger, pretty much the most used and most sensitive part of my hand. Its one of those splinters of wood that's all but invisible until you happen to hit it just wrong and it goes right into your skin like a hot knife into butter.

This is being typed funky style, without an index finger so its taking about three times as long. I've tried soaking it to get the splinter to show itself but its under the skin and I've got no means of getting it out until it decides to come out on its own. Maybe I'll bandaid it with some Neosporin to see if that helps soften the whole works up.

I think my posts will likely be a little short until it feels better.

But we did have a great weekend with lots and lots of stuff getting done and plenty of good puppy time (along with a couple of moments of bad puppy time but that's to be expected).

And today I'm driving my truck to work with my cruiser so I can get some lunch time rides in otherwise I'll never get any saddle time.

Oh yes, one more big and cool piece of news. P is now having me put my hand on her big belly when the baby is kicking or moving around. Its kind of crazy to feel the little critter kick inside her but its also pretty darned cool too!
