Breakup Expectations

Perhaps thats why those relationships that sucked while you were in them, sucked after the break up and all your friends refer to her as the Harpy or somesuch like that, perhaps that's why they stay with you for so long when they don't dissolve as they should, in a hail of cheap Walmart ware dishes and shouting matches across streets and clothes being heaved out second story windows. But if the break up is wrong, somehow not the breakup that we expect/need/desire then there is less of a sense of closure. So some part of your heart will stay propped open by that event and person. Its like one of those pneumatic doors that swings closed quickly almost all the way and then that last five or ten inches takes about three minutes to finally settle back to shut, secure against the external world.
