When One Single Thing is More Than Enough
I don't know, maybe people will tire of me being happy and not so riddled with rants and raves and diatribes and other assorted writer's standards. But its cool, my happiness is all good because its the best shield against everything. I'm in love and that beats everything including a Royal Flush.

But in talking with my honey tonight I was struck by how its often the smallest of things, of gestures, of thoughts that create the biggest impact and most heartfelt thanks. Easy things that seem inconsequential to the one giving, like something so simple as not merely overlooking one's lover's tendency to dip coat sleeves and robe sleeves in food accidentally, not only overlooking it but embracing it as part of who you love. Or any other myriad of things, like a kiss to the back one's knees.

Its easy to get lost in the bigger issues that couples may face but the best part of love and being in it is in the details. Those little things that let your love know you care about them. I could go into excrutiating detail but I've been on the other side of the equation plenty enough to know that really, no one wants to hear about some one else's bliss, unless they've got some for sale.

So instead, I'll send this up and get back to thinking about my work today instead of my sweetheart who's miles and miles away in reality but no more than a half inch away in my mind. I can't wait for tomorrow night!
