Yahoo! News - Defiant Saddam Says Any U.S. Attack Doomed

Apparently old Sodom (yes, I know its Saddam but since he's been butt bumping the world for years, I've taken the liberty of changing it for him) is on a 24/7 crack IV these days. Does he not remember how badly he got pasted the last time we went to war against his pissant army?

I understand why the US hasn't had him removed (sanctioned, executed, turned into an dodo bird, whatever you like to call it) because those monkeys next in line make him look like a paragon of logic. But on the same token, he's insane, completely and totally. He's abusing his own people because he's got an ego as big as some of those hidden scuds he's got. This won't end well but who cares? Almost anything is better than a moron at the controls.

It reminds me of a fairly unknown song by the now defunct (or is that defunked?) Grateful Dead called "The Monkey and the Engineer" in which a monkey steals a train. Although the metaphor falls apart because the monkey does a good job of guiding the train. Sodom is just going to get more and more Iraqi blood spilled.

All of this stuff he pulls is a long term strategy to slow down the entire process. He's a collosal asshole who thinks he's winning because he's tying up a micron of our resources. But he has no idea what the American military is truly capable of. And I actually don't want him to ever find out because in the end, he won't suffer (long) he'll die but many of his countrymen will also die, needlessly. The whole thing is sad because hatred is becoming the pervasive mood and behavior towards America and Americans.

Do people even remember that Sodom brought this upon himself by attacking Kuwait in the first place? An unprovoked assault against a very lightly defended neighbor. Oooh, Sodom is really tough, taking battle hardened troops up against the equivalent of the national guard.
