One of the most consistently useful and entertaining sites I hit up on a regular basis is Craigslist and one of the most interesting sections is craigslist | barter/swap/free in san francisco bay area. In many ways its the most honest of wishlists there could be. Some of the postings are pure humor, like, um, do you have an airplane you're not using? and others are sideways personal ads, like will trade muscle/work ethic/truck for massage (fem only).

The fem only part makes me laugh just as hard as the rest of it. Because we are, after all, in the Bay Area and San Francisco does have a wee bit of a reputation for homosexual lifestyles.

I need to start working on my other writing, the REAL stuff. The book, the tome, the homage, the something or other to a past world that's gone but still exists in the dream like catatonia of my heart. Or maybe I should just write it because I have a tremendous body of knowledge and history to draw from to task it all out. I just need to be able to see the thread that must bind it all together.
